8:30 Meet at COTERO cafe, 22 NGUYEN TRUNG TRUC street.
8:40 Start the bike ride. We will ride on Long Bien bridge, the oldest bridge in Hanoi, which was designed by Eiffel in 1902.
8:50 Ride on the island in the middle of the Red River. You can see the vegetables and banana, longan fruit…growing on this island. This island is like another world compared to a busy city of Hanoi, people here are working hard and farming by the old technology, everything is done by hand.
10:45 Visit a local family, you will learn how to grow vegetables and help the farmer to cook Vietnamese dishes with vegetables from the garden.
11:15 have lunch with the farmer and chat with them about their lifestyle
12:00 After lunch at the farm, we say good-bye to the farmers and ride back to the city, bike through a small market in the alley where the local people here shop their food every day. Many of the vegetables in this market come from the island that you just ride through.
12:15 Biking to the West Lake, the biggest lake in Hanoi
12: 30: Bike back to COTERO cafe and enjoy a cup of Vietnamese coffee.
At 08:00 am, the tour guide would come and take you to our bicycle store to choose suitable bikes
First, we cross the Red River by Long Bien bridge – the oldest one in Hanoi built over 100 years ago under French colonial time to enjoy the view of the Red River, watch the boats float underneath, and see the green vegetable farm on the island.
Then we ride to the countryside where farmers live and work. Here we have a chance to visit a family to learn more about local life and tradition, our guide will assist us to chat with them for more local interaction. We continue cycling through dirt roads and rural villages to reach Co Loa ancient citadel, built-in 200 BC. After that, we visit a fruit garden and have lunch at a local family where you can try traditional food.
In the afternoon we ride more around the villages, fields, and along the river bank to enjoy the cool breeze of the Red River. passing through the beautiful village of Northern Vietnam countryside we will reach a local boat station, take a cruise on the red river to go back to Hanoi. Our trip finishes at about 4:00-4:30 pm
